Ms. Menon's journey in supporting cancer patients through food donations began with a personal commitment to make a positive impact on the lives of those battling cancer. The recognition of Ms. Menon with Jwala Women of the year 2023 is well deserved honor that reflects her tireless efforts, dedication and compassionate contributions towards the community and the world at large. On November 6, 2023, Ms. Menon had the honour of attending a Lawyer’s Town Hall Meeting for the South Asian Community Engagement Initiative of the Peel Regional Police, which was hosted by the South Asian Bar Association (SABA).
This event was open to lawyers across the Peel Region to attend and openly discuss the topic of intersectionality regarding culturally sensitive issues and the law. Lawyers were asked to provide their feedback as witnesses to their clients’ lives having been deeply impacted after having entered into the legal system. Overall, this event was a huge success and had a great turnout by many lawyers both within and beyond the Peel Region. I am grateful for having been given the opportunity to speak at the Indo – Canada Chamber of Commerce’s International Women’s Day event that was held on March 8th, 2023.
Last night’s event was a celebration to encourage women to continue to strive for achievement and success through active discussions relating to social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women around the world.
Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce is committed to promote diversity and inclusion of women in the business community, and to support women entrepreneurs and business leaders.
Today, women entrepreneurs and business leaders are making their mark in industries ranging from technology to finance, demonstrating their innovation, creativity, and leadership skills. Yet, there is still a gender gap in the business world with women facing barriers to access finance, networks, and markets.
Last night’s event was a perfect opportunity to recognize and motivate women and to encourage them for thriving success.
Let us work toward a world where gender equality is not just a dream, but a reality.
So honoured and proud to be the recipient of this prestigious award. I would like to thank everyone who recognised me to receive the Maanmatti Punjaban Award 2023.

We are overjoyed that the Indo Canadian Women's Foundation (ICWF) launched successfully. I'm really grateful to the consulate general of India Ms. Apoorva Srivastava , entrepreneurs who were present, Canadian Taaluka News as well as to everyone else who came to the event last Wednesday. Our objective is to accept, involve, support, and empower women in society. In order to advance equality worldwide, we strive to develop our women as independent, self-assured leaders.

The National Volunteer Awards 2022, co-powered by RBC meeting place, reflected as a worthy tribute to the dedicated multi-disciplined volunteer team at Ontario Heroes.
Nothing stops a volunteer in making a difference in the world, and the night of awards valued these accomplishments, in the best way.
A total of 26 accolades, including 6 external and 20 internal awards were announced and awarded on August 6th, 2022.
The recipients of the internal awards were volunteers who have devoted their time, talent, and effort to support a variety of community needs across a range of platforms that cater to the betterment of the community.
The recipients of the external awards are selected by a jury panel who participated in the judging process, which was streamlined through widespread public nominations selected by a nomination committee comprised of the following representatives: Dr. Sheen Nisha, a volunteer with Ontario Heroes; Mr. Bijumon Peter, a member of the advisory council; Mr. Lishan Meriana, a board member; and Mr. Prince John, director of international student support services.
